Here at Eye & LASIK Center, we offer a variety of oculoplastic services including:
We love helping our patients feel great about their eyes and are happy to offer functional reconstruction and cosmetic eyelid surgery, Blepharoplasty.
While Botox has been around far longer than a decade and a half, it was in 2002 that the FDA approved the neuromodulator for the reduction of facial wrinkles on the upper third of the face. Now, Botox injections and other similar products are the most popular cosmetic procedures performed year in and year out worldwide. Blepharospasm, or eyelid twitching, may also be corrected by Botox.
Everything sags as we age. On the brows, this sagging is unattractive and can make you appear older than you actually are. Plus, it can give the wrong impression to other people, leaving them thinking you’re either perpetually tired or perpetually angry. If the sagging gets bad enough, it can even impact your vision.
Dermal Fillers are used to improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles throughout the face. Dermal fillers are completely different than BOTOX®, although their goals or erasing wrinkles are the same.
In Graves’ ophthalmopathy the tissues and muscles behind the eyes become swollen. This swelling makes the eyeballs protrude forward beyond the normal range. This may or may not occur with other symptoms of hyperthyroidism.
Sometimes the eyelids can become incorrectly positioned. With entropion, the eyelid has turned inward. With ectropion, the eyelid has turned outward. Some common symptoms are eye irritation, redness, sensitivity to light, dry eyes and even reduced vision.
Other Oculoplastic Treatments Offered Include:
- Dacryorhinostomy (DCR)
- ELR (Elevated Levatory Resection)
- Hugh’s Procedure
- Removal of Orbital Mass
