LIFESTYLE LENS IMPLANTS

Experience clear vision after cataract surgery at the Eye & LASIK Center. Doctors Pierre R. Alfred and John F. Warren offer the most advanced intraocular (IOL) lens technology including Tecnis, ReSTOR Multifocal, and Crystalens accommodating IOLs.
Traditional monofocal lens replacement provides for one improved focal point, distance, leaving people dependent on readers or bifocals after cataract surgery. Premium lens implants now make it possible to improve patients’ vision at all ranges, near through distance, with increased freedom from glasses or contact lenses.

Glaucoma Center

Glaucoma affects approximately 3 million Americans, and is one of the leading cause of blindness worldwide. It is a condition that gradually reduces your peripheral vision. Even if it does not cause blindness, it can severely impair vision.

TYPES OF GLAUCOMA:

  • Chronic or primary open-angle glaucoma
  • Acute closed-angle glaucoma.
  • Congenital glaucoma
  • Pigmentary glaucoma
  • Secondary glaucoma

Drs. Alfred and Warren of the Eye & LASIK Center were the first eyecare facility in the area to offer selective laser trabeculoplasty (SLT), a safe, effective, breakthrough laser treatment for glaucoma.

Chronic Glaucoma

Chronic glaucoma is a condition that gradually reduces your peripheral vision and often shows no warning signs. About half of Americans with chronic glaucoma don't even know they have it. By the time you notice it, permanent damage has already occurred. If your intraocular pressure remains high, you can develop tunnel vision. You will only be able to see objects straight ahead.

Other signs to watch for include headaches, blurred vision, difficulty adapting to darkness or halos around lights.
